Privacy Policy
This policy explains how ToolDesk handles files, text, and basic usage data.
Last updated: June 12, 2026
Browser-only tools
Most ToolDesk tools run directly in your browser. When a tool is labeled as browser-based, the selected files or pasted content stay on your device and are not uploaded to ToolDesk servers.
Temporary server processing
Some advanced tools require server processing, such as certain OCR, HEIC, PDF, and Office conversion tools. These tools are clearly labeled before you open them. For those tools, files are uploaded only to complete the requested conversion, compression, or extraction. Uploads are handled in temporary processing space for the duration of the request and are automatically deleted when the request finishes, including when it fails.
File retention
Server-processed files are handled temporarily for the active request and are discarded after processing completes. ToolDesk does not provide cloud storage, file history, or manual review of uploaded file contents.
Data stored in your browser
ToolDesk uses your browser's local storage to remember small preferences on your own device, such as tools you have pinned or recently used. This data never leaves your device, is not sent to ToolDesk, and contains no personal identifiers. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for ToolDesk.
Contact form
If you use the contact form, the name, email address, topic, and message you submit are delivered to the site owner as an email using Google's Gmail service, and are retained in that mailbox so we can reply. Your IP address may be used transiently to rate-limit submissions and prevent abuse; it is not stored in a database. To ask about or request deletion of a past message, reply to the same thread or send a new message referencing it.
Accounts
ToolDesk does not require an account for its core tools. Because there is no account system, ToolDesk does not collect profile details, passwords, or account preferences from tool users.
Hosting, analytics, and diagnostics
ToolDesk is hosted on Vercel and uses Vercel Analytics, a privacy-conscious analytics service that reports aggregated page-level usage without cross-site tracking cookies. Hosting and analytics infrastructure may process limited technical data such as IP address, browser type, page URL, and request timing in order to serve pages, prevent abuse, and measure performance. These signals are used to maintain and improve the site, not to inspect the contents of user files.
Advertising
ToolDesk does not currently show third-party advertising. If advertising is added in the future, this policy will be updated first to describe the ad provider and any data it processes, and ads will be clearly distinguishable from tool controls.
Children
ToolDesk is a general-audience utility site and is not directed at children under 13. ToolDesk has no accounts and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If ToolDesk's data practices change, this page will be updated and the date at the top revised. Material changes, such as adding advertising or new server-side processing, will be reflected here before they take effect.

If you have a privacy question or request about ToolDesk, use the contact page and include the page URL or tool name related to your question.
